Hi Katie! I really like your use of texture in combination with the contrast. It works together very well & gives a consistent mood to your triptych. I would suggest on the photo with the windows that you crop it just a little on the left side where it looks like it cuts the image at the edge of a new set of windows. It is just a bit distracting. Great job overall! :)
Hi Katie Beth - I like your use of shadows with the ambient light available as well the use of camera angles, with emphasis on the 3rd photo. The photo with the flat side of a building did not appear to offer the excitement the other 2 photos do, yet I thought your arrangement by inserting it int the middle makes a better fit with the use of lines! Nice work;)
Good afternoon Katie! I truly enjoyed these pictures, I think you did a wonderful job with these. All of them have a repetitive pattern but that are pleasing to my eyes. The second picture with the stairs I especially enjoy, I like the shadow and I want to say its stairs but it leaves me a sense of wonder, that maybe it could be something else standing up. It's very cool! I really enjoy the use of monochrome and the contrast. The only thing I would say is like Britain, that you could crop the bottom grey part on your window picture, or I believe even just a closer picture of those six window to the left of the picture, but I still believe they all show good theme of pattern. Great Job on your first project!!!
Hey Katie Beth! I really like the last two together. I feel like the even though the second photo has vertical lines, it is almost an optical illusion because the shadow is giving it some curvature, which complements the last photo. The first photo is cool and I like how you flipped it for a different perspective, but it doesn't quite fit as a set with the other two. I do like the graininess of the second photo- I thought it was intentional texture of the stucco on the walls.
Hey Katie, I think that the curvature in your last picture is nice. I also like that all of the granulation of the photos are similar. Good job matching the shades of gray as well.Your repetition in the photos is fantastic. I also like that you have the one photo that is not quite as busy in the middle of the two photos with movement.
