Hey Bryley! I really like these photos as a set. I love that you used prop lights as your lighting in your dark photo and you were able to half light her face. Very beautiful! I also really love the motion in the second photo. I think they're really great, but the only thing I would try to work on in the focus on the second photo. I'm having trouble with that!
Bryley! I really like your dark picture and how you used those lights, I had tried something similar at first and it was very hard to get it right so I absolutely salute you, and for the light picture like Doris said, it's really cool you got to capture movement.
I really enjoy these, maybe just because its portrait you could cut out the lights or focus on the face, but using the lighting of those lights. :).
Hey Bryley, I think you did a great job of pairing these photos as a set both visually and thematically. They convey obvious contrasting emotions while using the same color palette & manipulating the light well.
Great job with this project! I really love the images, particularly the first one. The only thing I would say about these is that the second image could stand to be shot or edited with a little bit of a higher contrast to accentuate the highlights and bring the shadows down a little bit like the first image.
like- your use of shutter speed to capture motion
ReplyDeletehelp- equal amount of lights & subject distracting from night portrait

ReplyDeleteBryley,
ReplyDeleteI like your use of shadows in both pictures. I also enjoy that there is an amber color in both of these pictures.
